Hot Stars

 
       

 

 

 

O type stars are hot stars (30 to > 50 000 K) showing He ionized lines in their spectrum.

O-type stars may exhibit emission lines.

According to Harvard classification,

Oe : Balmer HI emission
Of : NIII and He II emission lines
